Our Rose Crème uses wholesome, potent, high quality plant-derived ingredients, combined in a thoughtful and specialized way to create a rosy delight for your skin. We chose to focus on using several ingredients that are reputed for their supportive qualities for mature skin, however these ingredients are helpful for skin of all ages. Here are some highlights of our Rose Crème ingredients:

• Rosehip Oil: Pressed from rose hips, composed of the fruit and seeds of the rose plant, this oil has been long sought out for its beautifying properties, particularly for mature skin. Its vast benefits include that it absorbs very quickly into the skin, leaving no oily residue; it supports healthy skin tone; and it helps to reduce the appearance of scars, aids in natural skin regeneration, and soothes skin.
• Jojoba Oil: A non-comedogenic oil which very closely resembles the sebum naturally found in human skin. Softens and conditions the skin; supports bringing elasticity to dry skin.
• Alkanet Root: The root of the Alkanet plant (Alkanna tinctoria). Helps naturally calm and soothe the skin.
• Vegetable Glycerin: A natural humectant, vegetable glycerin draws moisture to the top layer of your skin, to keep the skin looking soft and smooth.
• Rose Petals: We use Avena Botanicals’ own Rose Petals. The sugars and natural oils found in rose petals help to trap moisture in your skin, making your skin look smoother and softer.
• Rose Flower Essence: Helps to uplift the spirit and balance the emotional heart.
• Rose Otto (Bulgarian): Helps to support elasticity and tone for the skin. Has an uplifting, rejuvenating, and energizing effect, which can help the skin stay soft, smooth, and optimally hydrated.
• Vitamin E Oil: A natural antioxidant, Vitamin E Oil helps to prevent oxidative rancidity of the valuable oils in this creme. We use Vitamin E Oil derived from sunflower seeds.
• Aspen Bark Extract Powder: Extracted from the bark of the American Aspen tree (Populus tremuloides), whose bark is high in naturally occurring salicylates. We use a very small percentage of Aspen Bark Extract Powder to act as an all-natural preservative. Aspen Bark Extract Powder also contributes to the smooth, silky texture of our Rose Crème. This ingredient has a very mild effect on the skin, with low to no irritation potential.

ABSOLUTELY FREE from synthetic preservatives and fragrances, parabens, phthalates, petroleum, glycols, artificial colors, DEA, BHT, and mineral oils. Throughout our two-year, on-site process of development, this crème was tested by Avena staff and friends only.
